An online store for a Macedonian fashion retailer carrying around twenty designer labels, synchronised with the Pantheon ERP the business already runs on.
Magnetik sells clothing, footwear, bags and accessories across roughly twenty brands — Patrizia Pepe, Motivi, Liu Jo, Weekend Max Mara among them — through physical stores and, now, online. The catalogue, the prices and the stock figures were already living somewhere: Pantheon, the ERP that runs the back office. The webshop could not become a second opinion about any of them.
So the interesting part of this project was never the storefront. It was the synchronisation: products, variants, prices and stock moving out of Pantheon and into the shop, and orders moving back the other way, without a human reconciling anything by hand. Stock is the unforgiving one — a shop floor and a website selling the same last item is a customer service problem that compounds.
On top of that sits the ordinary, load-bearing retail machinery: accounts and order history, a wishlist, a loyalty programme, free delivery above a threshold, a next-day option, and a returns window. All of it in Macedonian, in Cyrillic, which quietly rules out a lot of off-the-shelf answers.
